Up To Speed-May

Still playing catch-up...speed blogging...

Sometime this spring we joined a great new church called Gateway Fellowship...we love it...check out their website at http://gatewayfellowship.tv/

May...oh, my...May... Well...I had to start going to the gym...why? Well...that fat man who left...well, we sort of made a pact that when he got to the 250lb mark that I would join the gym too...I agreed (thinking "surely I'll have until June...when I'll be out of school") HA! Fat chance! Joined the gym the last week of April and have been pretty faithful about going 4x per week since...

Cadi graduated from "preschool"...but don't tell her that her year of "transitional" Kinder wasn't required...

There was a trip to the coast...We love Pioneer RV park... Here we are in the patriotic golf cart parade...we didn't care...it was game day and all we could think was GO! SPURS! GO! Yea...we know they didn't make it this year...we still love our Spurs!

Who's that guy driving??

And here he is outside of Go-go & Pops' RV...

He looks like he's had a few...someone should remind him of weight to drink ratios...Maybe landing face first on the concrete later will help solidify this new realization...maybe...

Did summer start...almost...here are Cadi & Madison hard at work on some fantastic chalk art...yes, on our new patio...

And don't Charli & Reagan make you just want to jump in with them!

SUMMER! HERE WE COME!

Up To Speed-March & April

March 1st...Charli turned 3...although she's still the soul of a 65 yr. old...Pink Polka Dots...

Went to visit Wayne in Sargent, TX...Chris caught an eel...and no...for obvious reasons...we did not go swimming!

Sandfest was...as always...AWESOME...and HOT...Sydney could have been on the cover off one of those tabloid mags and the new "lobster girl"...I do believe she will have a permanent flip-flop tan!

Cory turned the big 30! Yes...that's his cake on the table...a red tool box! And...yes, those are underoos hanging on the wall behind him...he loves his wife!

Up to Speed-January & February

Okay...it's been since November...let's get up to speed...

Christmas...wonderful...except my mishap with glass...

In January the fat man who lived in this house decided to leave...slowly...but this is when he decided to go...

Here he is with Cadi in Feb. at the "Body" exhibit at the Witte...I said slowly...

We did some major "do most of it yourself" home improvements that include...tile, laminate and a patio slab...I found a new calling...pulling up tac strip...yippie...we are still working on these projects!

HATE ME!

Okay...you all can hate me for my lack of blogging... WHATEVER...
We're back...

Thanks for Dress-up & Uncle Tim

On Thanksgiving the house was filled with Garcie's...
The smallest Garcie's played dress-up...
The boy Garcie's played pool...
The girl Garcie's played our favorite game..."How fast can we empty this bottle of wine?" We had a record year!
We were most thankful for Bill Miller's Thanksgiving menu that allowed the wine drinking!

A Showman & A Showoff

Sydney's heifers got Champion and Reserve Champion in her class at the Dripping Springs Fall Classic Show in Johnson City. She's not sharing that her heifers were the only ones shown in that class though...
However, I am so proud that she recieved 2nd place in Showmanship in the Sr. Division...Remember, she's just a Freshman! The girl who got 1st was a senior! Sydney is QUEEN OF THE SHOW RING!

Enough about our showman...

Here's the SHOWOFF!

After Cory bagged his first deer of the season...I believe it was actually a unicorn...since it only had one antler (4 points)...
And Chris shot the fawn sized doe...
Dad decided the next weekend to prove that he was still king of the ranch...didn't go out into the blind until almost dusk...shot it when I couldn't even see across the yard it was so dark...
Smirked as Chris admired all 9 points and said, "You know it ain't the horns that matter..." Then later asked Chris to mount it European style...

Yea...he's a badass! And he just won't let the "boys" forget it!

Fancy Trees & Singing Turkeys

Last year Cadi had asked for a Christmas tree for her room... I told her she had too many other things on her list...So, this year I took them both to Garden Ridge and let them choose... Thank goodness this was a one time deal and I won't have to do it again... Of course Cadi wanted a pink one...and of course they were all out...we opted for a white tree with all pink ornaments...thank you Santa...she agreed!
Charli...who is proving she is my child every day...picked the lavender tree with all purple ornaments...SO COOL! We still haven't found stars...if you see any pink or purple stars that we could put on top let us know...

I love that the girls are going to school with their best friends, above is Charli (rt) with her friend's Reagan (center) and Natalie (lft). They were really good with the arm motions...but no singing...STILL THEY WERE THE CUTEST KIDS ON THE PLANET!

Cadi did super too! How round is that turkey, Cadi? That's our good friend Riley just behind her... Believe it or not, on their first song they gave them rhythm sticks...and Cadi didn't hit anyone with hers...I know, AMAZING!
